Ok, I have been working some more on it. I got something for the section that was bothering me. How did I do it? I sat my dance classmate down and stumbled through what I had with her watching. When I got to the section, I mentioned it and that I was basically improv-ing. We then colliberated on the section and came up with something that would work. I also sat down and wrote out a stage map of the choreography. I am using it as shorthand for practice and as a guide for my visual run-throughs. When I am doing the visual run-throughs, I say words out loud that trigger in my memory what is coming next. This is especially important with such a short deadline. More later, Terrah |
