I am reading a book titled  How to Win Any Argument: Without Raising Your Voice, Losing Your Cool, Or Coming To Blows

I came across a paragraphy about the aurthor seeing himself as a swan.

Normally, we think of this in the context of the ugly duckling story.  He used it in a different way...generally I have heard people reference being a duck when they talk about gliding along on the water and paddling hard under the water AND this author referenced a swan.  That got me thinking.....

Isn't the swan a great image.

You have the ugly ducklying thought AND the graceful, gliding along thought AND a swan does paddle furiously under water to propel itself along.

Now my understanding is that they also mate for life.  Another positive trait in my eyes.

And they have the touch of black around their eyes, a touch of mystery.
